Tasmania and Tasmanian Tiger (cont)

The Tasmanian tiger, of which scientific term is Thylacine, was native to Australian mainland. The extinction of the Tiger from continental Australia was about 2,000 years ago, and it was last seen in Tasmania approximately sixty years ago. It was classified as a marsupial since it has a pouch in both sexes. It has shot hair, a yellow- brown coat, a striped back and a stiff tail. Australian scientists have made several attempts have it cloned, and their work is in right perspective.

Good luck to Socceroos

Today, the Aussie football team depart for Brazil to compete in World Cup 2014 for the fourth time. Numerous fans and media personalities are present at Sydney International Airport to see the Socceroos off. The Socceroos boys are in the toughest Group B together with Spain, the Netherlands and Chile right in the first round. For a preparation beforehand, the Aussie team had a farewell match against South Africa. Although the match was not satisfying as we had expected, it was a useful trial for the team to enter the World Cup finalists. However, to proceed farther in the Competition, the Australian footballers must beat any opponent, even if it is the current World Cup Champion_ Spain. Hope that the Australian Football Team will make it as the Dark Horse of this World Cup.

Comment on the capture of schoolgirls in Nigeria

I was terrified of the news about more than two hundred Nigerian schoolgirls were herded and illegally arrested by a gang of terrorists. Their capture was for only one reason that they have followed Western Education as their captors' words. They may be sexually assaulted or forced to become wives of those who held them their hostages. This attack is a harrowing plight to these schoolgirls and their families. Unfortunately, the Nigerian Authorities have not yet acted promptly and effectively to rescue the girls and assist their relatives in this desperate situation.
